*sighs* I really, reeeeaally hate about-me pages. 1) I never know quite how to describe myself in a way that is interesting & meaningful. I am just... well... me. I contain quirks just like the next person. I have loves & pet peeves, interests & whatever else. 2) About-me things are kind of done-to-death in an age where every man & his proverbial dog has a web page or profile. Maybe it's true that there's nothing new under the sun. There's only so many ways you can re-invent the wheel. When you stop to think about it,  the very act of trying to be an individual ironically enough sticks you into a group of other
non-conformists. So can you  really escape being part of the herd, any herd? Nonetheless, I've always valued my creativity &  pride myself on my desire to think for myself.

I guess the best way to get to know me... & thus get a description of me... is simply to talk to me. I may be grumpy, I may be weird... but I am honest (perhaps to a fault- I tell it like it is more often than not). So if genuine friendship is your thing, feel free to wander by for a chat.

Btw, I am not really so old. I simply refuse to state my age & Interpals forces you to display a figure. For me age is a state of mind, not a number. I've met some really wise/old 7-year-olds & some completely immature 60-year-olds... case in point. All I'll say is that I'm more than 18 but less than 100.

Also... you might've noticed that I have a low number of friends listed on my page. This is not 'coz I'm shy or anti-social, it is simply 'coz I won't list anyone on there that I don't actually talk to on a regular basis. But don't let that put you off.

I know it likely won't do any good. Sometimes it's like a certain type of person out there doesn't make an effort to actually <read> a profile before they carry on w/ being offensive. This shows an utter lack of respect. Both for the person you are harassing & for yourself, by letting yourself come across as crass or rude.

Nevertheless I still feel obligated to at least <try> to make a few things perfectly clear.

I AM NOT LOOKING TO DATE ANYONE!! How can you say I'm the love of your life or your dream woman when you don't even know me...!?!? It's not flattering, it's simply annoying. You mean to tell me that some girls actually fall for this shit...!?!? *snorts* Anyone looking for a wife, please look elsewhere... respect the fact I'm already in a relationship. But if you want a friend, then I'm cool w/ that.

I WILL NOT WEB-CAM W/ YOU!! I don't own a working one, I don't put on shows of a sexual nature, etc. The people who keep asking even after I say I don't have one really piss me off.

I WILL NOT SEND $$ TO WHATEVER COUNTRY YOU'RE FROM FOR WHATEVER REASON. I won't sponsor you, marry you to get you into the country, whatever else. Nor do I actually believe that you're some late dictator's widow who really wants to give me untold millions for no good reason.

If anyone refuses to respect the above & persists in doing these sort of things... then there will be consequences. Consider yourself blocked, at the minimum.

*sighs* I really hate to go tough. I would love to say I have no expectations on the type of people I want to meet. 'Coz at heart it's still quite true.

Oh... a couple other things:

In simple terms I'm Pagan & I follow a Hellenic Path. I'd really love to meet up w/ some like-minded people &/or someone who can help me learn to speak Greek.

One of the things you'll learn about me quickly is that music is a huge part of my life. I am completely passionate about metal. I thrive on going to gigs & meeting bands.

Another thing that defines me is that I have a strong interest in the paranormal. Show me yours & I'll show you mine... <LOL> I'm happy to trade stories if you've had any paranormal experiences... "talk shop" or the like.

Finally... I'm a devout Hellenic, this makes up a huge part of what I'm on about. Since this will inevitably lead to a few questions, let me explain some stuff about my beliefs.

1st of all... let me tell you what I am <NOT>. 

I am <NOT> a Reconstructionist. I know it's a matter of perception, but for me the word implies rebuilding something that was lost or broken. My Gods of choice are alive & well... always have been, always will be. I am <NOT> an Eclectic <ANY>thing. I find it quite offensive to be labeled as such, actually. I only honour <ONE> Pantheon in my heart & home.

As far as what I <AM>...

Let's start w/ the basics & move on from there. The phrase "Hellen?ic polytheism"? is actually much like the word "Pagan"?... an umbrella term. It's applied to a wide range of polytheistic? spiritual paths that honour the Pantheon of the ancient Greeks. There's much, much more to it that just this & if any of you are  genuinely curious I'm happy to explain more... so send me a message!!

Some other stuff I'm into:  RPG's like AD&D, art, going to the cinema, reading, cooking, tinkering w/ my garden, spending time at the beach. writing poetry/short fiction/song lyrics, practising guitar, & much more.

I love metal in all its dark & glorious forms.

My favourite bands are: Cradle of Filth,  Carcass, Behemoth, & Rotting Christ.
