Travel and good fiction are the antidote to stupidity and routine. I don't mean reading novels on some posh beach at some crowded resort. I mean, ordering in a foreign restaurant some food you've never heard of. I mean Tarkovsky, Eric Rohmer, Ozu, Claire Denis, Kiarostami and Wong Kar-Wai.
