Hey! My name is Julia! I'm looking to make friends and practice some languages! I am originally from the US, spent a year in Germany, and now live in Austria.

Language Exchange Requests

I am learning all 3 at once so it has taken quite some time to learn anything but...
German I learned in highschool and Im learning it in University and have a B2 Level
Russian is super limited despite me learning it in university
Scottish Gaelic I'm doing on Duolingo for now

Hobbies & Interests

I like studying languages but I can never find the time,
I like to read, mostly classics and young adult.
I go on walks alot as well
I used to volunteer a lot
Journaling
I want to learn to sew and do other "granny" hobbies but I don't know where to begin - update!! I did get into embroidery and cross stitch

Favorite Music

I like really old music, mostly from the 1920s-1950s music from Europe and the US but i like today's music too. I've taken interest in foreign pop and rap music, primarily from Poland and the Balkans because well, theirs is the best. Other than that, I really like Lewis Capaldi and softer indie music 😂

Favorite Movies

Harold and maude, psycho, coraline, nightmare before christmas, corpse bride, the shining, JoJo Rabbit, 1917, etc

Favorite TV Shows

The walking dead, orange is the new black, breaking bad, game of thrones, bates motel, rupauls drag race, America's next top model, disenchantment, American Horror story, dark, 1899, the alienist, Bridgerton, squidgame... the typical "basic bitch" shows. Otherwise I watch a lot of history documentaries

Favorite Books

I don't read as much anymore, but I'm trying to get back into it. Mostly I read classic books, like the great gatsby. I really like f scott Fitzgerald in general and I am reading his other books. I am also trying to get into Kafka, Tolstoy, and Dostoyevsky.
I like some of the young adult books as well, especially the raven cycle.
