I work for a beach hotel chain in northeastern Brazil. Although I work on the boring part involving numbers, it's an area connected to tourism and language is always important. My English level is intermediate, or almost. I need to improve more and I'm starting to learn Russian through Memrise.
And I'm also here to meet people from other cultures.
Requests
I’m mainly interested in language practice and cultural exchange.
I enjoy exchanging messages about everyday topics, culture and languages.
Language Exchange Requests
I prefer language exchange through voice messages, as I type slowly even in my native language — especially on the cellphone.
That’s something I’m still working on and trying to improve.
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy running, watching films and learning new languages.
Most of my time is divided between work and studying, but I like simple routines and quiet moments.
Favorite Music
I listen to many different styles of music.
It really depends on the moment and the mood.
Favorite Movies
I really enjoy movies.
Classics like The Godfather and Schindler’s List, as well as films like Whiplash, Nocturnal Animals, and Drive.
I really like the atmosphere of Batman, more introspective films like The Fly, and thrillers such as Law Abiding Citizen, No Country for Old Men, and Collateral.
I also enjoy classic horror, especially films by John Carpenter and Italian giallo movies. I usually say I don’t like musicals, but La La Land surprised me.
Favorite TV Shows
Nowadays, I only stop to watch a long TV series if it’s really worth it or widely talked about.
I used to binge-watch a lot, but now I often feel like I’m wasting time.
I usually prefer miniseries — the last one I watched was Adolescence.
Favorite Books
Mostly fiction in the past (Agatha Christie, Stephen King).
More personal development books these days.
Favorite Quotes
“The idiots will still dominate the world, not because of their ability, but because of their huge majority.” (Nelson Rodrigues)
