Many interests: languages, travel, writing, cinema, music, reading, swimming and hiking. I am keen to exchange ideas with people from different cultures. I have a particularly keen interest in Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern culture, customs and languages, so if you come from that area, such as Japan or Taiwan or any part of the Middle East and love literature, music, the crafts, arts, and the cinema I'd be very happy to hear from you. Please write soon and introduce yourself. Best wishes, everybody!
Requests
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ONLY WRITE A SINGLE WORD OR PHRASE IN YOUR MESSAGE, YOU MAY NOT GET A REPLY FROM ME. SINCE YOU GOT HERE YOU SHOULD KNOW A FEW BASIC THINGS ABOUT ME. IF PEOPLE DON’T BOTHER TO READ A COUPLE OF THINGS, THEY DONT REALLY WANT TO TALK TO ME, I BELIEVE.
Language Exchange Requests
I'm always happy to practise language exchange and now especially Italian, Turkish, Basque and Friulian from the Italian North East, around Udine. Always keen to practise my Modern Standard Arabic or any local dialect.
Hobbies & Interests
I play a few musical instruments and like listening to music and making music myself. I also like to practise different languages, especially those of Southeast Asia, such as Japanese and various Chinese languages of Taiwan. Recently, I published some poetry, played a few gigs and wrote some songs and tunes. Enjoy watching foreign movies and tv dramas in various languages to practise my language skills.
Favorite Music
All sorts of music from classical, to folk, to world music.
Favorite Movies
I am really fond of Hong Kong, Japanese and Taiwanese cinema, and these days also films and tv drama in Turkish, Basque, Italian and Friulian.
Favorite TV Shows
TV drama and comedy.
Favorite Books
My favourite book of all time is "The Little Prince". It's a classic and has been translated widely. My pet project is to read it and understand it in as many languages as I possibly can! Other than that, I'd like to get more into Chinese poetry and read thrillers from around the world.
