Greetings interpals users. It is I, Dr. Victor Von Doom, ruler of Latveria and nemesis of the Fantastic Four...
Despite what the U.N. and the E.U. would tell you, Latveria is a real country, and I will make that fact known!
I spend my time hatching schemes to take over the world, usually through the use of magical artifacts or technological wonders of my own creation. I fight many vigilantes, and manage an army of androids to keep them from ruining my plans.
I can't say much about my current ventures, because I am most likely being monitored, but I will say I have great plans for this world...
Requests
I ask for your world to be handed over to me, and that you not put up resistance as it is futile.
Also, I know you ladies all want a piece of this, but I am afraid their is no room for a Mrs. Doom.
Language Exchange Requests
I shall teach no one any thing, as they do not deserve the knowledge of Doom! Nor shall I stoop so low as to ask for assistance, even if Zulu is really, really... hard...
Hobbies & Interests
My interests include Archeology, Engineering, Sorcery, Political Intrigue, and plotting against the world.
My work often intersects with my interests, and I feel quite fortunate.
I enjoy gaining power, and lording it over others. What is the point of being the strongest if you don't subjugate the weak? I make the world a better place in my own image, and if others will not accept that then I have to show them the light!
I my free time, I often do something quiet or constructive. I often times paint, or tinker in my lab. Sometimes I go out for nights on the town, and even get on stage for open mic night:
Favorite Music
I have a refined taste, and I enjoy the classics. I find most all of the music from the Baroque period lovely, and quite like the madrigals from the likes of William Byrd.
Modern music is something I find distasteful, and I would have it all quelled if I had the power to do so, which I shall one day...
Favorite Movies
I find myself enthrallef by the silent films of yesteryear, such an elegant art form, such emotions conveyed with little to no dialogue.
I myself have starred in numerous films, but I did those for publicity more than anything. I disavow them all, the unrealistic pieces of filth they are. Everyone knows you don't make a sky portal in this day and age, it is what the vigilantes are expecting! Moon-Cannons are what's in.
Favorite TV Shows
I do not watch television. No one shall watch television...
Favorite Books
I prefer nonfiction, I like to glean some knew knowledge from my literature. I found Mein Kompf intriguing, but the author was self loathing and overly ambitious, but I much prefer the Communist Manifesto. The works of Lovecraft are excellent of course, and The Art of War is a master piece.
Favorite Quotes
[i"]My methods are a means to an end, no different than pruning weeds in order to let an orchid flourish. Those who stand in the way of my vision oppose me because they fear me, but more than that they fear what I represent. Change. Do you know what I despise Richards? And T'Challa? Because never one have they reined in their own self-righteous arrogance long enough to try and see what I see. Never once have they asked me: why? Do you want to know? Love. Measure my crimes against what mankind does to itself, and I am a saint. ... I have looked into the future, I have seen how one violent action after another spins the world toward a future where all that remains of Earth is a burned out cinder. Every time I have looked into the future, that is what I have seen. Every time but one. In one possible future mankind becomes united. Cures for all diseases are found. Global conflict ends. Hunger is abolished. Education is universal. And no one goes without. In that world, there are laws. To break even the slightest of these is to suffer immediate and terminal punishment. ... Ten thousand futures have I looked at. A hundred thousand. And in only one does mankind finally unite, and flourish...and survive. Only one. Doomworld."
