I'm Maty

A Musician and Photographer from Sydney, Australia. My major was Jazz Piano/Jazz Drums (double major).

I have a strong interest in technology related to music and photographic arts. My day job is a manager for an events company where I look after the photography team. I plan the training and supervise the work of many photographers, as well as taking photos myself.

I sing and play guitar in heavy metal bands, write & produce music, film music videos, take creative photography of models, and make miniature buildings. All of these things in my spare time.

When I was 24yrs old I studied Korean as a language. I chose Korean because I enjoyed listening to the sound of it. After that I was shown musicians and movies from Sth Korea and I loved it. I enjoy hiphop, ballads, some kpop, and indie rock from Sth Korea. When I travel to Sth Korea I enjoy going to live houses.

I have a gorgeous wife who works alongside me at the same company as an event coordinator. She also is the makeup artist for all my photoshoots, and we play in bands together! She is a bass player, a singer, and a keyboard player. So we always do everything together!

At university I have studied other topics outside my major, including business, IP law, sociology, and philosophy. This means I can discuss a lot of different topics.

I want to regain my fluency in Korean but I also enjoy meeting people because learning to communicate is all about making new friends!

My MBTI is ENTP so I am not shy at all and adapt very quickly.

Looking to do more work in South Korea in the future. Keen to improve my Korean skills.
