Hello!  My name is Alicia and I am here to learn about other cultures and languages!  I am a registered nurse, so I do not have a lot of free time and can take a bit to get back to people some days.  I work very long hours.  So if you are looking for constant messages and fast replies I am not your gal.  I am currently attempting to learn Greek so I can avoid being clueless when I travel there for vacation in a year or so.  I am just starting on this language so am not quite conversational in it yet.  I am still learning the basics.  Any help with the language and cultural information is always appreciated though! 

I have some experience with French, German and Russian languages too.  I can read in French much better than I speak it.  I really love other cultures and the chance to learn new things about them.  I have traveled to England, France, Germany, Canada, Mexico and Romania so far. 

Let's see...some other facts about me.  I just bought a new house here in the small town of Silver Lake.  I love being out in nature and enjoy the huge amount of land I now have.  I live by a lake and some woods, so am often outside doing nature stuff and yard work.  I love art, music and history as well. 

I was formerly a cultural anthropology major, so ancient civilizations and history interest me the most.  Anything BCE is my cup of tea.  I especially love Greek and Egyptian ancient histories and mythologies.

I like friends from all over, but I request if you want to chat you say more than "Hi"  or "How are you?"  There is not much I can say to that and it doesn't really get my attention.  I have a lot of people wanting to chat on here so odds are I will not reply if that is all you say.  Also nobody wanting relationships or anything like that.
