I live in  the suburbs (somewhat rural). I am an only child. I am a full time college student, working towards my career. My interests include anything about the health field, psychology, the outdoors, and human communication (the main reason I made this account). I enjoy any type of of communication, but I have a special interest in ethics and politics. I do not really care for sports and I have never been interested in engines/cars etc. With my schedule I do not have a huge amount of time and normally my recreation is via Xbox live.

I am looking to learn about different communication styles and cultures. One that particularly interests me is British culture. Looking for anyone who would be willing to email and possibly Skype (after I felt comfortable with them).

Edit to add: Life takes some interesting turns and I have decided that I want to travel. It is something that no one in my family has ever done (never left north America before...Can you believe it?!?). I have decided that life is too short to not visit another part of the globe. While I am still interested in the U.K. I believe my destination will be Australia. I do not plan on a short lived holiday, I want to really immerse myself in the culture. While it will take me a couple of years before I can get there, it will be the perfect time to establish some friends over there. Please, send me a friend request. And if you are from the QLD send me two ;).

After being on here for a while it seems like a website made specifically for people to connect with other people is sparsely populated with its targeted audience. I enjoy people who are exciting and adventurous, but please the first prerequisite is someone who is a genuine person. Small talk is a fine professional introduction, but it should lead to something more. Perhaps even be a bit nosy, who knows it might lead to a strong friendship :) (interpersonal relationships are built on self disclosure after all). Be chatty, be yourself, and please no super short messages that start and end with "Hi".

#1 goal: I would like to make a friend or two in Australia, I plan on spending some time there.

#2: I would love to learn about the culture in Britain or Ireland, just for fun.
