About Me
I'm 36 and come from Hemel Hempstead which a town that is situated just outside London. However, at the moment I live and work in Astana, Kazakhstan. Before living in Astana, I studied Japanese at Sheffield University and spent one year in Kobe as an exchange student, I also spent five years living in Wuhan, China.
I have a great deal love and respect for Asia, this is because i have been fortunate to meet a lot of people from the region who are extremely pleasant, kind, intelligent and fun to talk to.
Through this love and respect for the region i have become fascinated with the history and culture of the region.
However i am also interested in learning about other countries and their cultures from around the world as well.

I don't have any particular request except it would be nice to do language exchange.
the languages i would like to learn at the momement are as follows:
Japanese: As I studied it at university and lived in Kobe for a year, K would very much like to develop my abilities further with this beautiful language further whilst maintaining the level I am currently at.
Chinese: Recently started to to study Chinese and like Japanese would like to further develop my abilities.
Korean: As i intend to study it next year, At the moment i am only able to read and write Hangul.
Vietnamese: Currently learning Vietnamese as part of a module for University, but because i am interested in learning more about Vietnam and have friends there too! I would very much like to develop my Vietnamese further.
Uyghur: A minority language of China that i learnt the grammar structure for as part of a module at University. Would be very grateful for any assistance with this language as there are virtually no resources available for it!!!

Hobbies & Interests
My hobbies include some of the following: football, rugby, anime. computer games, cycling, walks in the countryside, history, philosophy and most importantly learning the languages. history and cultures of other countries.
And not to forget most recently the Japanese writing systems which i find both elegant and fascinating especially Kanji.
