About Me
Hello there! Jorel here! Just your average 20-something year old guy looking to reach out to the world and make new friends, hopefully long term friends! I like to travel both locally and overseas. I don't like going to bars or going to parties. I go to the movies every now and then. I prefer the company of a few than a lot, I can be quite shy meeting new people. What else can I say about me?
Oh and something you should know is I'm gay. The reason I'm putting this out in the open is that I know many people around the world live in fear or in hiding for being gay. I'm lucky enough to grow up and live in a country where being gay is ok and I know that there are so many people worldwide live in places where it isn't. It's widely known that LGBT people have high suicide and depression rates, experience bullying and violence, can feel ostracised and alone, there's a lot of things we have to go though in life, let alone if our environment is severely homophobic. I want to be someone you can talk to. I'm not here for romance or anything like that, I genuinely just want to start a conversation with you and be your friend. I want to tell you that you are not alone, that it gets better, that the world is changing, and that you've got a friend. I know this isn't applicable to everyone, but I just wanted to put it on here in case it is applicable to you.
