About Me
To me, insensibility is irrefutably sensible
          for assumptions lead asunder
and organization is of the robotic nature
of those who emulate
the multitude of petals on a rose.
               Thus and thus
the wind is highly appealing until hours and miles are stated.

Hi!  My name is Jen, and I'm an 19 year old female currently residing in the United States (in Pennsylvania, if you want to get specific).  I'm really hoping to get to know some uber-friendly 'foreign' guys and girls and actually know several more people outside of the bubble of the U.S.  However, I would just like to put out a friendly little disclaimer of sorts before we begin: I like to play with my food.

I tend to be pretty eccentric and, at times, I have little spurts of randomness that can make my friends roll their eyes.  Personality wise, I'm extremely outgoing and act rather peppy.  Of course this, combined with my height of 5'2", my freckles, and my curly-que hair, makes me a rather imposing person.  I'm much more on the outgoing side.  I have a tendency to reveal several details about myself that make my friends cringe, but I fear that they enjoy my bluntness all too much to run away screaming into the night.  I take pride in the fact that, if nothing else, I probably provide a rowdy source of entertainment.

I DO admit that I am rather ditsy; a factor that commonly causes me to walk into trees and the like.  Unfortunately, due to this, not many people realize that I'm actually intelligent.  I'm mentally gifted and a major bookworm.  While science and math aren't necessarily my favorite subjects, there are certain things about them which interest me as well - though I greatly prefer english and history.  That being said, I'm a nerd who's going to try my luck at studying everything that is physically and mentally feasible during my time away at college.

Performance-wise, I can attest to being a theater kid.  I'm, most definitely, a stage hog and suffer from professional jealousy whenever I go to see a Broadway show.  Besides the musical theater fare, I actually write contemporary music and am looking to start a band sometime in the near future (I also used to be a member of an all-girls group).

Despite my utmost pep and cheer, I'm an existentialist at heart and adore satire and cynicism.  Religiously, I'm atheist; but I'm pretty much tolerant of every religion and am curious to learn about the historys and justifications behind each religious methodology. I can also appreciate a good Pollack or two every once in a while. Classic art, classic literature, the shadows on a painting....anything with depth can get me salivating. It's all about the chiaroscuro; finding the right balance of light and dark.

So, yeah. I feel that if I wrote any more that this would turn into an essay - so I'm going to stop here. If you're interested, talk to me! I don't bite quite as much as certain Stephenie Meyer fan-girls. ;D
Requests
BE eccentric, unique, inspiring, insipid, wild, introspective, disdainful, colorful.  In other words, show me some personality in your comments; stray from the generic!

* Don't call me 'Baby'; I will bite you.

While I consider myself a friendly person, I would really like to meet people that are specifically of a mind where they can be sarcastic , 'jokesters', pop culture spouting, and yet are still able to type properly if they want to and have an intelligent conversation.  I would really like to keep the age close to mine just for comfort issues.  And please - no creepers (as we say in America)!

Note:  Please don't add me as a friend unless we've talked for a bit!

Oh, and I'm specifically interested in meeting people from:
1.  Australia, the United Kingdom, and Italy - since I plan on making an attempt to study abroad in those places sometime during my college career
2.  Ireland.  I have a family friend living up there right now and, thus, a house for me to come and crash at anytime.  Which means that I might be in Ireland a lot in the near future.
3.  Norway.  What can I say, except for the fact that it's Norway?  I really want to visit...

Oh, and one more thing: No pondering, no brain cells - no service!

UPDATE:  I'm pretty sure that I'll be studying Literature at the University of Cambridge this summer.  It might be nice to find someone to meet up with!
Language Exchange Requests
I admit that I'm pretty bad with the whole 'picking up on another language' thing, but that's not gonna stop me!  I plan on taking Italian once I start my sophomore year in college.
