Hello, whoever you are!! My name is Felipe Hernández, I am from Chile, a country in the south of the world. Did you know it? I am currently finishing my Biotechnology studies at university, with a view to doing my postgraduate studies in another country.

I am here because I would like to meet people from other countries, with other perspectives; you know, each person is a small window to the world. Let's see through each other.

If I had to summarise myself in a few words, I would say that I am passionate about learning about the culture and history of other peoples, I consider myself to have a "cosmopolitan spirit". My favourite topics of conversation are history, horror literature, science, etc.

I simply ask for respectful and interesting conversations. I do not like discrimination in any form as I believe in the idea of a globalised world, with a diversity of people and cultures living together in harmony. For me this is not "idealism" but the true meaning of the word "civilisation".

I don't really care if our lifestyles are very different or if we have opposing views on certain issues, I believe that people are books of thousands of pages in which interesting things are written :P

I love reading, especially the genres: cosmic horror, science fiction and psychological thrillers.  My favourite author is H.P. Lovecraft, although I am currently reading Algernon Blackwood's books.

I also like movies a lot, basically of the same genres I like in terms of books. My favourite saga is Alien.

Lately I've been getting interested in camping, hiking and spending time in nature. It's a way to "detox".

I'm a total nerd, I know :P
