Hi there,

my name is Johannes, but please call me Johnny (Johannes is the German version of John). I studied business administration and computer science and am currently working as a project manager in a software development company. My main interests are in sports, languages and computer gaming.

I am calm, friendly, patient, warm hearted and very curious / eager to learn - from what I can say. It is always difficult to objectively judge yourself to that kind of criteria, but I tried my best here =)

About interpals and people you meet on here: When I first created an account on this website I made the experience that 95% (or more) of the people on here are not really interested in getting to know people and basically just waste other peoples time. Im not interested in wasting my time at all.

What Im trying to say is that I will not respond to messages like "Hi", "how are you?" etc. . Im interested in making good friends here and the number one requirement is that you get to know the person you are talking to.

I hope you dont mind my directness in this matter, but if you made it to this sentence here you're probably not going to let it stop you,  are you?

I would be willing to help people improve their German or English (given enough effort on your side) and I would be interested in learning some Korean. I am currently able to read Korean, but my vocabulary and grammar are still very basic.

Update: I am currently staying in Gangnam, Seoul for a few weeks of language school, learning Korean. I will be here until the second of June 2023.
Update 2: I safely arrived back home, but I am rather swarmed with work and other urgent things right now. Im sorry if I dont reply.
Update 3: I spent May 2024 in Seoul also and plan to be there again this year (2025). I would like to meet and get to know people during my visit.

I really liked reading the chronicles of narnia by C. S. Lewis and Empyrion by Stephen Lawhead, but those are just two examples. I really like reading while on the bus / train to and from university. I believe that is one of the best things to do in order to actually make good use of the time - unless I am heading for an exam or something of that sort. Then I would of course panically sink my head into the script / book of course ;D
