About Me
Hi there, I'm Jordy. I'm here to meet new people from around the world. I like to learn new languages and love to learn about other cultures, including yours!

My belief is that everyone on this planet has the potential to do amazing things and I think chasing your dreams is very important. You do need to work hard to make these dreams come true but when you keep working on it you'll be surprised by what you can do.  Please follow those dreams you have. You can do it.

In my spare time I like to travel, act, write and make music. When travelling I like to bring my guitar along and combine these. Making music feels so good. It brings people together.

I'm creative and it would be great to meet other creative people here. Maybe we can make something together or just inspire each other. I have met a lot of great people here and I love the positivity everyone here has.

I also like to learn more about other cultures, mostly Japanese and American so don't hesitate to send me a message.

Back to the Future trilogy
Is there a better trilogy in movie history? BTTF brings comedy and science fiction together in a relatable movie series that I can watch over and over again. Even though a lot of people dislike the third movie I really like that one as well and think that traveling back and forth through time again would have made the story too complicated.  Love the music as well. A great score by Alan Silvestry.

The Muppet movies
What is it about puppets that make them feel so real? The Muppets have made a lot of movies and shows and I'm a big fan. Especially early movies such as the first one have a lot of heart and I like that in movies. Even though the movies are for all ages I've only started to like them when I got older. I guess I didn't get all the jokes when I was younger. I did like the Muppets themselves though.

Ace Ventura/The Mask/Liar Liar/etc
Yep, Jim Carrey fan here. He's over the top, obnoxious and I can easily see why people dislike his movies. I like many other fans love his unique style, rubber face and just the manic energy he brings to the screen.

GhostBusters/Caddyshack/The Blues Brothers/etc
I really love those 80s movies starring the original SNL players. I could go on and make a huge list but movies starring Bull Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Chevy Chase, John Belushi etc are usually pretty okay in my book. Special mention goes to Ghostbusters since it's probably my favorite movie ever. It has a bit of everything. It's part comedy, part horror, has an all-star cast, extremely good writing and just feels good.

Commando - My favorite action movie of all time. It's like a life action cartoon. It's way over the top, endlessly quotable and just a ton of fun.

It's a Mad Mad Mad World - This movie has probably the biggest ensemble cast in comedy movie history with each star getting a chance to shine. Each of the many stars brings their own brand of comedy to the table making sure it never becomes stale. Switching between characters makes this movie feel like it's multiple movies at once but intersections make sure the cast feels like an ensemble.  The gorgeous California backdrop, where the movie was filmed also doesn't hurt either.

Marx Brothers movies - What I like about the Marx Brothers movies is how each brother brings his own style of humor to the table. this results in a banquet of comedy that still holds up. In some aspects they may be dated but too me that adds to the charm

Marvel movies - Man, I still can't believe all the movies we've had in the MCU. Growing up with cartoons like Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and the 80's Hulk cartoon, it was always a dream to see all of these characters on the big screen. It took a while (and some duds in the 90's) but it was worth the wait. I loved the early 2000's Spidey and X-Men movies but the MCU kicked things into fourth gear. I love how these movies feel different but still connect to each other.
Favorite TV Shows
Dragonball
Death Note

TGIF sitcoms
The Twilight Zone
Saved By the Bell
Favorite Books
Alice in Wonderland - I really love how bizarre and surreal the book is, It's so imaginative. It's unpredictable and filled with crazy characters.

Harpo Speaks - I love this book not only because of my love for the artist (Harp Marx) and the movies he has made. It's also a very interesting personal time capsule of America from the 1930's through 50's.

Truth in Comedy - Improv is a great art form and this book is amazingly good at teaching the foundation of improv.

No is a four letter word - A self motivational book by rockstar/wrestler Chris Jericho. Not only does it contain some extremely good life lessons, it also accompanies them with very interesting stories.

Yes Man - I watched the Jim Carrey movie first but got interested in the book later on. It's a very funny book, written in a very British style with a ton of dry humor. We could all be a bit happier if we'd say "Yes" a bit more often.
