Looking for people for faaaaaraway countries to chat to online (or via snail mail if possible). I am quite fascinated by the former Soviet states - I'd love to hear from you (Edit: except pro-Putin Russians. I will not associate with anyone who supports what is happening to Ukraine). Nordic countries as well - one of my favourite people is a Finnish witch (probably). But really I don't mind which country you're from.

Reading (mostly fantasy novels), writing (mostly things that are soon deleted, then re-written), music, internet culture, fishing, sport (I play a few like tennis, golf, cricket, and watch most other sports like athletics, rugby, football, any olympic sport etc), art (pencil sketches), comics, I play chess. PC games, World of Warcraft, Witcher, Neverwinter Nights, other similar games.
Unfortunately I find politics and news interesting. and aggravating.

meh. I've been through phases of liking trance and techno, EBM, 80's/90's rock and grunge, and popular music. I've never really liked jazz or country music.

I've read quite a few of the recommended classics. 1984, To Kill a Mockingbird, Animal Farm, Catcher in the Rye, The Call of the Wild, Wuthering Heights, and got part of the way through Crime and Punishment. I don't mind classics - (almost) all reading is good for you - but I like getting lost in magical stories.
