I love being outside. I love seeing the sunset from an open space. I live in an area with a lot of oak trees, so the sunset view is blocked a bit, but I still enjoy it. I like to sometimes take country drives to see the starry sky, because it really is a marvelous sight.

I love gardening, digging my hands into the soft earth, watching the little seedlings grow, the wonder of it all. I enjoy having backyard chickens.

I love art. It makes my soul happy. Something about playing with the colors and watching the world form. I enjoy acrylic paints, ink pens, soft and oil pastels, collages, rubber stamps, etc. I would love to someday learn to crochet. I love crocheted things.

I also love: being around happy, positive people; listening, writing and receiving letters, exploring thrift stores and antique stores, cooking and baking, old quilts, photographs (the memories, the story of time), inspiring quotations, stained glass, butterflies, etc.

I love spending time with my children, watching them learn and grow, making memories, sharing life together. They all love to make art and dig their hands in the earth.

I like trying to see the good in the world, because there really is so much more of it than anything else. I am spiritual and feel very connected to this part of myself, but I do not judge what others choose to believe—we all have our own paths and that is beautiful in itself.

I’m looking for some snail mail friends. I simply like snail mail better, doodling on the envelope, writing quotes on the stationery, waiting for a letter to arrive, etc. I would love to meet friends with similar interests (though differences are not a bad thing) who like writing about life—the happy and sad moments, the daily life, dreams and plans for the future, whatever gets written across the pages. I would love to have more female pals with children, though I’ll reply to ones without children as well.

Writing long letters, spending time with family and friends, gardening, journaling, arts and crafts, backyard chickens, reading, traveling, cooking/baking, inspiring quotations, thrift stores, antique stores, yard sales, quilts, farms, starry sky, sunshine, rain, trusting the moment, finding the beauty within each season, embracing the simple things in life, dandelions, exploring nature, listening to music, laughter, country drives, and on the list goes!

I enjoy watching old shows, like "I Love Lucy," "Andy Griffith," and "Little House on the Prairie."
