Hi to you all lovely ppl!
I haven't used this site for the past few years, but it sort of came back to me and I would be very glad to get to know some new pen pals!
I'm up for digital as well as postal penpalling :)
And if anyone wanted to send me a postcard please do, I collect them! And the other way round - I can send one to you.
I have some personal interest but I'm also quite easy to get inspired by passions of others so you can feel free to talk to me about pretty much anything - I don't have any taboo topics (anymore) xD

I used to study Mandarin - not so good at it anymore as I haven't spoken it for 3 y. so it's a bit rusty. Apart from that I can speak a bit of German and Russian.
English is still my best second language though so our communication would be the smoothest if u used Eng to talk :)

Hobbies & Interests
Languages, Sports (inline skating, trekking, windsurfing), Art (just admiring), Book&magazine's reading. I'm very much interested in post-soviet area and in geopolitics in general.
There truly is nothing I'd love more than trekking with my backpack on in the mountains or across a foreign country. I enjoy doing sight-seeing by simply walking and observing.

Favorite Music
Hard to say cuz it all depends on my mood, but in short I enjoy techno as well as live jazz (a guitar, saxophone, piano and drums quartet is everything I need for a lovely evening). As far as artists are concerned I'd say Steven Wilson is one of my fav, also Arctic Monkeys, ACDC.

Favorite Movies
A director that speaks directly to my soul is 张艺谋, his every single film is a masterpiece! Although speaking about a favourite one then it should be "霸王别姬" by another Chinese, 陈凯歌. A Western director that I'm fond of is Quentin Tarantino, love his unique style.
Recently I was astonished by the talent of a young Russian director Kantemir Balagov - both of his 2 films so far were amazing, but "Beanpole" made an especially great impression on me.

As much as I love reading I don't have any favourite books, there's just too many good ones and it's hard to compare between different genres.
