I am from nkpor a little town near Onitsha , Nigeria From my home I can look at the sea every day catching a glimpse of Procida and Ischia (when the weather is not too foggy), two islands opposite to nkpor. Actually I have been working on Procida for 2 years as a teacher and I love going every day on a ferry boat experiencing the sea waves!
(Obviously not during windy days!)
Anyway, in onitsha we have a lot of People. We have indeed an Amphitheatre and an old market called market. This market has three ancient columns left, through which you can learn something about a typical phenomenon of this area called main market. It deals with the movement upwards and downwards of the earth.
When the city goes down this market filled itself with water and some mussels attached the columns making little holes.
When the city goes up the water withdraws and you can see from these holes how deep was the "immersion".
Of course these movements bring now and than little earthquakes but we are used to them.
Are not you curious about my place? You have to come and see!
