I'm a 37-year-old nerd from the UK, and I live with my dog Ripley. I'm Pagan, I’m queer, and I'm seeking fellow snail-mail enthusiasts; people with whom I can exchange letters, send postcards to when I travel, share pictures of my favourite places.  English is my mother tongue so if anyone wants some practise, I'm here to help.

I read a lot, and I have a substantial collection of books (more on this below).  I like to listen to music; my tastes are varied (also, more below).  I like to go to the theatre; I'm especially fond of musicals, both modern and classic.  I like to go to the cinema.  I enjoy walking in the woods near my home, especially with my dog Ripley. I like camping as well as exploring new cities.  I crochet, I knit, I do a little embroidery. I write, mostly short-form fiction, stream of consciousness, and I am exploring my mediocre poetry.  I should probably write more.  I meditate, though not as regularly as I should.  I like yoga, though I don't attend classes anywhere near as frequently as I used to.  I enjoy playing card games (Gin Rummy, Solitaire, Blackjack, Chase the Ace, Pig, Bullsh*t) and board games, from the traditional (Chess, Draughts) to the niche (Coup, Fluxx, Exploding Kittens, Cards Against Humanity) to the classics (Trivial Pursuits, Scrabble, Monopoly).  I love a nerdy board game night with friends.

All sorts! I like pop, rock, metal, country, folk, classical, opera...  I'm not especially fond of urban/rap/RnB/hip-hop but honestly, as long as it has a good beat I'll probably be fine. 

My tastes range from Tchaikovsky to Barry Manilow, My Chemical Romance to Queen, musical soundtracks to Damh the Bard.

I generally like fantasy or thought-provoking things, intelligent or stimulating or funny, although I have a soft spot for trashy TV series like The Tribe, The Librarians, and my only real foray into “reality tv” is Great British Bake Off.

There is not time nor space enough to enumerate the many volumes that occupy special places in my heart. 

I love Terry Pratchett, Stephen King, Tolkien, Oscar Wilde, Tom Holt, the Hellboy Graphics, the Rivers of London series, Stephen Fry, George Orwell, Margaret Atwood, Mary Shelley, Bram Stoker, Jane Austen, John Polidori, a little Dickens, and so many more.

The small bedroom in my house is my Library, in which I have several bookcases and an armchair.  It's one of my favourite places.
