My name is Jesse. I go by Merry sometimes. I am a momma of the three coolest kids I've ever seen. I like to make things, and Knitting and spinning yarn are my biggest loves, and I am learning how to weave. I also dye my own yarn and fiber (natural dyes are my favorite). Learning to make my own clothes. I'm not hugely fond of electronics, and love doing things the "old fashioned" way, like writing letters. I want to homestead. I want to eat food I've grown and wear clothes I've made, and sit on a porch and know I'm home. Anyway. I like books that take me far away. Norse Mythology is cool and I love learning the history and culture that surrounded it. I'm also rambling because I never quite know what to say about myself here, and how much is too much and how to not give my life story but also not be horribly vague....So. Yeah. Penpals?

I am looking for snail mail pals that love the fiber arts (spinning, knitting, crochet, weaving, etc) and/or homesteading! Or other parents that want to talk about raising kids. Also, I LOVE music. I used to live in Shanghai, China, and remember just a tiny bit of Mandarin. Growing up in Texas gave me a few Spanish words.  My languages of interest, though, are Icelandic, Dannish, and Norwegian.
