Hello everyone. As I wrote in the status section  I haven't been on here for awhile. The reason for that is because about a year ago I was in a car crash. My Dad and I were in the car accident. I was a passenger. My  Dad was in the hospital for about four days and then he went home. He only got a cut on his arm but he was okay. I had four broken bones and I was in the hospital for around seven weeks. When I got home I was walking with a walker in a walking boot. I was using that for awhile but now I'm not using either of them anymore. While I was recovering I just got out of the habit of coming here. Well a few days ago I wanted to check this place out again and now I'm back on. Just wanted you to know why I wasn't on here.  Now back to my old profile..........  Hello! Well, this is the part I'm not a fan of. I know it has to be done, but I never know what to say. I don't want to tell so much that I bore you and I don't want to tell you so little that you think I must be hiding something. Well, let's see how it goes and just call this a work in progress. My name is Mike. I'm 57, ( now 61 ) 5 foot 9, around 200 pounds, brown hair and eyes, glasses and unmarried. I live near a small Texas town called Blue Ridge. It has around 800  people ( now  842 people, boy this place has really grown hasn't it )  and many, many cows. Wildlife often show up around here. Deer, wild pigs, rabbits, skunks, coyotes  and even Bobcats, just to name a few. I moved to Texas when I was 3 but I still call myself a Texan.
    I work with my Father working on traffic lights. I have helped him with his work since I was a kid.
     I believe that it doesn't matter what color a person is or where they come from. What matters is if a person is honest or not, A person can be very beautiful on the outside but if they aren't an honest person, they aren't truly beautiful. I'm NOT a fan of racism, I hate it. I believe that we are all the children of God and that makes us all family because God is the Father of us all. But, I do respect the rights of people who don't believe that. People have the right to decide that for themselves.
    I'm more on the quite side. It take awhile for me to open up to new people. I almost never talk to new people first, but if someone talks to me first, I do talk back. I can't promise not to be boring, that's for you to decide, but I can promise that I am looking for some friends to write to. Everything thats good starts with friendship. Thank you for reading this and I hope that we can be friends.

I'm a fan of anime, science fiction, Elvis, 50's, western swing and big band music, old comedy and sci fi movies, history and the history of space flight. I also enjoy the old radio shows like the Green Hornet, The Shadow and others.

Dr Who,  Star Trek, Supergirl, Flash, many sci fi shows and many anime shows. I'm a big anime fan. I've seen so many animes that it's hard to remember all of them. Some of my favorites have been Planetes, R.O.D. the Series,  Rurouni Kenshin,  Full Metal Panic, Buso Renkin, Ai Yori Aoshi, Fruit Basket, Banner of the Stars, Sailor Moon, Clannad, Croisee in a Foreign Labyrinth, Eden of the East, Kurau Phantom Memory, K-On, Inu Yasha,  Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya,  My Bride is a Mermaid, Solty Rei, Zone of the Enders, Oh Edo Rocket and  Azumanga Daioh. I know that's a long list, but as I said, I've seen a lot of animes. There are others that I could have put on the list as well, but then it really would have been too big a list.
