About Me
Hello Everyone! My name is Faraz Masud. It's about time I updated my profile on this platform, I'm originally from Pakistan, however, I was born and raised in Dubai Abu Dhabi, UAE. I've lived, studied, and worked in China in the past too, however, I moved to Taipei Taiwan earlier this year. A part of my parent's family is from Iran-Syria and a part is from Uzbekistan, my ancestors immigrated to Pakistan in the past during the civil war.

I'm an old user of this platform, and made many friends here in the past time, although I don't use this website as much as I used to use in the past, however, I still come here sometime just to see if I can still get in touch with some old friends again that I met here back then.

I did my Bachelor's in Electronics, Computer Science, and IT-related subjects before eventually changing my major field later on during my first master's degree I eventually ended up doing my first master's in International Relations due to personal interest, and my second Master in Chinese Linguistics And Classical Chinese Literature eventually from National University Of Modern Languages Islamabad and Peking University Beijing, and now enrolled in third Masters degree here at National Chengchi University Taipei Taiwan in Teaching Chinese As A Second Language and Applied Linguistics with a view of doing Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics after that and may well work as an Assistant or Associate Professor after that. Meanwhile, I have 5-6 years of professional teaching experience at the University level and 7-8 professional working experience as a translator, interpreter, and writer. Currently, I'm working as a Research Assistant at the Graduate Institute Of Linguistics at Taipei Wenshan District NCCU National Chengchi University. I used to work as a Fan-Subber in the past for Dramas and Anime groups as well, and I worked as a professional Interpreter, Translator, Proof-Reader, Case Worker, and Freelancer as well besides just being a teacher. This is pretty much my summary of introduction and by the way, you can call me Faraz.

I do have WeChat, Line, Facebook, IG, and other Social App accounts, but let's talk here first and see if we are compatible enough to become good friends or not. In case we really are then obviously no problem as I'm much more active there compared to this side due to academic and work pressure overall. So, just ask me if you want to add me there, I prefer to seek good and genuine long-term friends here as I'm not really a friend collector and prefer quality over quantity.
Requests
My requests are simple, be genuine and real. Don't use fake pictures, and scammers don't really need to invest their energy in me, please come up with some new tricks now, those old tricks won't work anymore. I prefer not to reply to those people who don't even put real pictures in their profile.

One thing more would be that I'd prefer to meet knowledgeable intellectuals here to have some meaningful conversations as I'm looking to exchange knowledge regarding History, Geography, Languages, and Literature. So, if you are that kind of person, then obviously you are more than welcome. Gender doesn't really matter at all.

And if in case if you are living in Taipei or Taoyuan or anywhere in Taiwan, then it's even more wonderful, because we can meet each other in person and exchange languages and knowledge together as well besides just having lunch or dinner together. I arrived on 26th Feb 2023 here in Taipei, so always looking for genuine and kind friends to hang out with sometimes outside of the work environment and studies.

Currently, I'm trying to focus more on Japanese, so if you are learning Japanese or speak it already, then I think we can help each other as a language exchange partner.

People who speak Chinese or English are also welcome as long as we can have meaningful conversations together without hurting sentiments of each other.
Language Exchange Requests
Currently more inclined towards learning Japanese and Russian language, however, Chinese speakers are also welcome to make friendship with me, and we can talk and discuss various topics in both English and Chinese too if you like, thanks!
Hobbies & Interests
I like meeting people from all over the world, helping others, planting, caring for animals, reading books and novels, playing games, watching football, reading news and getting knowledge about various countries of the world, fan-subbing Japanese anime, watching Japanese anime and dramas, watching Korean dramas, watching English movies and English dramas, etc.

Collecting language-learning resources and materials was one of my favorite hobbies during my childhood as well. I'm more of a language-learning guy, but of course, like other people, I have a keen interest in Politics, History, Geography, and other subjects too.

I respect all religions and believe that no religion should be disrespected or laughed at in any case as it is precious for its believers, however, I don't appreciate people being too obsessed about religious beliefs and forcing their beliefs on others, because that kind of feeling isn't nice to experience. So, I'm not interested in meeting those people who are totally obsessed with religious belief and don't think beyond it.
