I love going for really long walks along the biggest beach I can find. With my wee dog. I don't actually have my own dog but I will usually borrow one and take it with me to the beach. This can be a pain as I have to get the sand out of its paws before handing the dog back to its rightful owner.

I’m very easy going. Well, to be honest if I’m stuck behind a hesitant driver I have been known to shake my head scornfully. But I will normally let at least one driver out at a busy junction.

I like to adopt any small animals that wander into my kitchen. Except moths. Don't like moths. I try to humanely expel them outside.

I'm adept at making air quotes with my fingers to indicate irony non verbally.

I am working on both my interpersonal skills and my personal hygiene with a view to establishing which is the most important.

Perhaps I should mention that I have a very dry sense of humour.

In reality...

I live near the north coast of Ireland where I work as a software developer. This means I spend much of the day sitting staring at a computer screen and saying variations of the following: "For ***** sake, just ****ing work. Help me out here." While drinking tea.

Surprisingly this is not as fun as it sounds.

I had an occasional hobby of visiting locations used in Game of Thrones. I’m up to five. That’s all the close ones. Someone else can do the others.

I think I'm an introvert. Hell, I know for a fact I'm an introvert. I don't enjoy big crowds or lots of noise.

I love to read. I can't walk past a bookshop without popping in "just in case" they have a book that will change my life. 

As a result I have too many books.

I'm also quite fond of DVDs & Blu Rays.

I'm afraid I don't have any photos of me mountain climbing. I mention this because mountain climbing profile pictures seem to be quite popular on this site.

I was an occasional and unenthusiastic runner. (I'm talking about once a week for a few weeks and then "resting" for the remainder of the year.)

The Last Kingdom was surprisingly good.

Peaky Blinders and Ripper Street. I love the periods and the settings on those.
