Hello world. My name is Ellen and this is my 'About me' segment.
It's quite hard to narrow my 18 years of existing into a short little text like this.
So, basically the only thing I do in my life is playing music.
I'm a music student and I study the classical violin. The feeling of being on stage is something that you can only know when you experience it yourself. Stressful, yet wonderful.
Because I experience music in my day to day life, I'm a very emotional person. That's why a lot of my friends come to me when they want to talk about their problems/happy moments that happened in their life. :-)
I really love listening and I less love to talk. But that's why music comes in handy, because it's my first language.

Something else I love to do so much is traveling. I want to see as much of the world and meet as many people possible.
It's my dream to play concerts everywhere around the world.

When I was little, I used to be very shy. Like, extremely shy. But since I'm involved in the beautiful arts, I've become a social and open person. :-) So, feel free to send me a message. But not just 'hi' tho, because I will most likely not answer that.

Russian native speakers are always welcome, since I'm learning Russian.

I'm enjoying a variety of different styles, but mainly jazz and classical music are my cup of tea.
The ones I usually listen to are Horace Silver, Robert Glasper, Sonny Rollins, Sonny Stitt, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Snarky Puppy, Tchaikovsky, Ysaÿe, Oscar Peterson, Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Sibelius.. Besides that, my favorite bands are Arctic Monkeys, Air, Zero 7, Rodriguez, The Whitest Boy Alive and The Kooks. I also love me some good old Daft Punk, The Doors, Radiohead, Gorillaz and Nujabes.

Whiplash, Benny & Joon, Boyhood, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Earth and definitely Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
Oh, and if you're a French speaker (or not, there are subs for something), watch La Haine. It filmed in a very special way in my opinion. Brutal, agressive yet very interesting.
