The most linguistically challenging but fun approach to learning French, imo, is watching French movies with French subtitles. The French use a lot of emotions and body gestures, so I find it easier to understand their spoken language in a visual way. You should stream Heartbreaker on Netflix. Its language is noteworthy, and the plot concept is novelty too.
