Hello world :)

I have been on and off this site over the years, made some nice friends along the way, and am always happy to now and then open my world to a few more real and authentic, lasting connections.

Well-mannered, thoughtful, kind, sincere, fun and even a little crazy (in the harmless, fun way ;)) people out there are always welcome to drop by and say hello :) (but maybe write a bit more than that because I do like depth...)

Something about me?

I do like to write, ha, so this is probably going to be a little lengthy :)

I would say am free-spirited, kind-hearted, independent, outgoing, adventurous, honest, thoughtful, can be stubborn at times :), love beauty and calmness and really do hate unfairness.

Usually, I am all smiles and sparkles, ;) positive, happy, easy going, down to earth, curious, objective and always trying to see the best in every person and lesson.

Kind of an idealist, thinker, sensitive, intuitive, love dreaming, but at the same time I am realistic, a go-getter with plenty of fighting spirit.

I have an inquisitive mind ;), love analyzing, solving mysteries, learning more, and try to live my life in a way to help protect our planet and make the world a better place.

My zodiac sign is Leo :) and even though I am not much into astrology, I guess I do find myself in a lot of its characteristics - apart from the showing off, glamour and standing in the spotlight, I don't need that :) :)

Most importantly,  I am authentically me and always follow my heart and inner truth.

I am all for good energy and close, meaningful connections with depth.

Lately, the former extrovert in me started to calm down and I have really come to embrace and enjoy my introvert side. I like my space and alone time, taking care of and working on myself, listening to my inner voice, and enjoy  quality time with one or two good friends over parties and crowded events. Maybe that's part of getting older! :))

Like most of us I guess, I have had my share of ups and downs, wins, highs, tragedy and loss in life and know how fast everything can change. Yet I love living on this beautiful planet and I try to enjoy and respect life as much as I can and take time to appreciate these simple "special" little things and moments every day.

Having worked many years for Lufthansa Airlines, I have been lucky to see a lot of the world, lived in many great places and made lots of wonderful friends from various different countries.

After splitting from my Aussie husband some years ago and after many years living in France, Switzerland, and Spain,
my two, now grown, children and I recently relocated back to my hometown in Germany to be closer to my aging dad and family for a while,  before starting a new life adventure and finding my little special corner in this big wide world to call home and grow roots.

Even though I do enjoy the commodities of the city life, I am a "country-girl" at heart and prefer living in the countryside, surrounded by green fields, trees and nature. I also love the water, so being close to a lake, river or right now, the sea, is a must :)

Looking for nice, genuine people with the heart still on the right spot to write/talk to regularly or just now and then, and maybe create some new friendships :)

So anyone my intro resonates with, who is on here for similar reasons and has something nice or interesting to say, knows who they are and can carry themselves through real conversations and be authentic -and who actually managed to read through all of this ;) -  is very welcome to write to me :)

However, I am a real person and like to be treated as such, even if communicating online. I have no interest in playing games. I also like 'old school' behaviour and expect some simple common courtesy and good manners. I love to laugh, fun and witty banter as well as intelligent in-depth conversations.

I am not at all into superficial 'nothing'-chats and do like the deeper stuff, so if you cannot have proper, sincere and deeper-than-the-weather conversations or make me smile, don't count on holding my interest as I make no time for meaningless fluff.

I don't understand the sense of connecting with someone and investing in getting to know them and sharing life stories to then just up and leave. I guess I am just too real for that.

I am drawn to old souls and emotional maturity, people who aren't afraid to be who they really are.

Loyalty, honesty and lasting connections are very important to me.
I naturally like to connect with people with similar values and intentions who just match my energy.

PLEASE you nice people out there - my inbox is flooded with "Hiii", "how are you", "truth or dare", compliments, offers and love-declarations  from 16-28 year olds - yet as I am looking for connections/conversations with depth and meaning, I really would appreciate messages from people around my own age - or maybe younger  IF you are on a much more mature level than your age. Nothing against youngsters in their 20s, but we are simply in different stages of emotional maturity and life, and I am not looking for some time wasting one-liner-exchanges, an easy fun time, a toy-boy or son ;))  So please only write if you are around my age or older - or are mature and actually prove it with your first message! :)  Thank you!

Nature is my magical healing place, I just love being outdoors. Always need to live somewhere in the countryside. Add to that sunshine and water, whether its a stream, lake or the sea - near perfection for me to ground myself and heal/solve/face whatever issue life throws at me.

I am also a huge dog lover - I always, always had at least one dog in my life.

At the moment I have a whole bunch of rescues living with me who keep me more than busy - and fit ;)

Photography, I love photos and taking them.

My favorite time of the year is spring :)

Animal/wildlife/nature advocate, I am also vegan.
Blue skies, anything artistic, creativity, energy-teachings, good stories, mysteries, detective-work, profiling ;),  the outdoors, long walks, wildlife, the seaside,  personal growth, human connections and relationships, life coaching, mindfulness, sustainable living, staying fit, cooking, baking, cozy evenings, good conversations, writing, reading, art galleries, exhibitions, antique markets, hunting for old treasures on flea markets :)

Every time you make a decision, it puts a mark on your soul.

What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

People reveal who they really are when they walk away.

You can never shine while being with someone who doesn't see your light.

We often feel tired, not because we have done too much

Sometimes, your past belongs behind you. Sometimes, you need to make the hard decision today that will bring you the best outcome tomorrow. Sometimes, your future is meant to be filled with new people who are able to meet your expectations, not old people who have already disappointed you.

If you went back in time to fix all your past mistakes, you'd erase yourself.

If you truly want something, you will find a way. If not, you'll find an excuse.

Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly.

There is always a lesson in every encounter.

I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

If there's just one piece of advice I can give you, it's this--when there's something you really want, fight for it, don't give up no matter how hopeless it seems. And when you've lost hope, ask yourself if in 10 years from now you're gonna wish you
gave it just one more shot, because the best things in life, they don't come free.

And that's the thing about people who mean everything they say. They think everyone else does too.

Change is painful, but nothing is as painful as staying stuck somewhere you don’t belong

You must go on adventures to find out where you truly belong.

The recipe is simple: Do what most people avoid. Wake up early. Focus deeply. Move your body. Eat real foods. Obsess over one thing. Go on adventures. Read old books. Be present. Be kind. Have difficult conversations. Love ferociously. Simple is beautiful.
