About Me
Hello everyone! I'm Pablo from Spain. Due to my love about East Asia, I'm aspiring to become a university professor of East Asian studies. This is why now I'm writing a PhD thesis about the European Middle Ages and premodern Japan. My research interests are Japanese, Chinese , and Korean history, religion, society, culture, philosophy, and geopolitics. I would really like to come back to East Asia as a research student sooner than later!
Besides East Asia, I have a strong interest in the European Middle Ages and the Renaissance, in Turkish (and Turkic!) and Russian cultures, and in Classic and Egyptian ancient history.
I love learning languages, it often takes so much time and effort, but the satisfaction when you start to read and understand some sentences is so great that I can't stop studying them. Languages also tell us a lot about the mindset of different cultures. I hope that with your help, we can learn many languages together.

I like Classical music, specially from the Middle Ages or the Renaissance, but I also like videogames music, Jpop and Jrock, and Cpop (but not slow ballads)

The Godfather, Star Wars, The Sum of all Fears, Narnia, Sherlock Holmes, Joint Security Area (J.S.A.) and historic films such as Ran or Gladiator.
