About Me
Hi to everyone!
My name's Matt and interested to meet people from all over the world. If you have a desire to teach me some of your language and want to tell me about your country, get in touch with me no matter who you are or where you're from! Introduce yourself; I'm open minded :)
I am creative and love to write and play different musical instruments. I also love doing anything outdoors - bike riding, canoeing/kayaking, hiking, playing some sports, sitting by the river, reading, anything. I love to eat so I try to experiment with cooking and making different foods from time to time.
I am currently living on the tropical island of Kauai, working in the mountains and forests here in the conservation field. I help to keep the forests as native as possible by removing invasive species, protecting endangered ones, and restoring natural areas by doing outplanting to reduce erosion and rehabilitate native environments to support larger native wildlife populations.
Some things I want to do are: sail the Mediterranean, paraglide, windsurf, fly a kite on a mountain, learn to play the oud, play backgammon in the narrow alleys of old Dubrovnik, cook kabobs on the streets of Trabzon, live in a lighthouse in the Lofoten Islands of Norway, work in an orphanage, build a sustainable shelter, build a sailboat, cultivate a plot of land, learn how to make cheese, shear a sheep, keep bees, live in a treehouse, etc.
