BIG! Hello from Australia



My name is Joe, and I am from the city of Darwin in north Australia.

I am 51 years old and have always
been interested in cultures of the world. The more different the culture
the more interesting it is for me.

I have been learning Russian in my free time for over 13 years now, it's just a hobby. I have an interest in Russian and Slavic cultures. So, I would
also like to hear from Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, Bulgarians and any
one from Eastern Europe and Eurasia generally :)

There is no need to offer me help with my Russian, although
I appreciate the thought. I am just here for social interaction because I don't get enough in my everyday life.


All cultures are welcome here, any age young or old, thick or thin, black or white, male or female. You are all beautiful to me. It is your mind that will make you or break you to me.

I am happy to talk with everyone, but I don't add people to my friends
list straight away, I like to talk with people for a while first.

I don't teach English.  But when time allows me, I am happy to
talk with you in Teams for a polite and general conversation with
me as a native English speaker.      

I am here for friendship and cultural exchange, I am not
here for romance or flirting.  I am single, that's not
an invitation for more, nor does it mean I am looking for more.

i enjoy watching the International Space Station (ISS) making a flyby on dusk and listening to the packet/SSTV transmissions as it goes by.

I like laying under the stars, watching meteors and satellites go by. But don't like the mosquitoes much :)

i like most styles of music but especially dance music of the 1980's and 90's. i am fond of movie soundtracks and scores. some of my favorite movie score artists are : Alan Silvestri ,  Basil Poledouris ,  Christopher Franke , Hans Zimmer, James Horner , Jerry Goldsmith,  Michael Giacchino.

i like watching documentaries about science and history.  quantum physics and ancient cultures.
