63 Year old male/going on 15 in some of my attitudes, 95 in body aches and pains...lol.
I was in The Canadian Airforce for nearly 21 years, retired in 2001. First 8 years as a radar technician, next 13 as a photographer, and now I am retired
I love to laugh as I feel that jokes make the day go easier, and a day without a smile is a true waste.
I am constantly trying to improve who I am, for my own self worth and as others see me.
I like animals, yes, even some people animals, wild or tame, and
have over the years owned, or been owned by four dogs, and four cats, one mouse, one turtle, and wild deer at an old summer location.
Anything I missed that you would like to know, feel free to ask!!
Anyone that wants to try scams or asking for money, please, ask me, I can ignore ya, but some folks may feel obliged to give, when they need it more...surprisingly, I've been on here for a while now, and only a few scams, guess I am not worth the time or the trouble, or I just don't realize I am being scammed...lol...
Update to that, several scams have been tried, but telling me we can live a long and loving life together, when we have not even sent a message bothways, wastes your time more than mine...
I had a small heart attack in June of 2013 and have made some drastic life style changes. Not easy some of them, but I am liking what is happening so far, and look forward to being a better me when all is said and done.
Requests
Penpals of all ages, races, places. I am sure that deep down, we all bleed red blood, even the supposed bluebloods...
Anyone with any spare money, please, write me, I am sure we can work out a deal somehow...lol
Of course, being closer in age is a good thing if we are to have things in common...
Language Exchange Requests
I have a very, very limited ability to write French, but I am willing to assist anyone with english. Who Knows, I may learn enough to speak your native language, and you mine...Smile
Hobbies & Interests
Computers, out door living, fishing, camping, hiking, bicycle riding for pleasure, golf, woodworking, some cooking, lots of eating...penpals, long walks, reading and some deep thinking, re: naps...lol
I am beginning to try wood carving, so buy lots of stock in band aids for a while...
I'm interested in museums, historical locations/sites or just history, local, regional, national, international...mainly the useless stuff as trivia and I get along great.
I have tried to write some short stories, but usually got bored, maybe that will change with ..ahem...maturity...lol
I love to travel, so if you need someone to make up the second half of a double occupancy, drop me a line...lol
Favorite Music
Mainly old rock, (70's 80's) not really into heavy metal, or rap of any sort. I'll listen to most music from country to classical, but it varies with my mood. Bare Naked Ladies...both the band and people...lol, CCR, The Guess Who etc....
Favorite Movies
Adventures, old classics, Westerns, epics, and some comedy, I don't do well with tear jerkers, my eyes go all blurry for some reason, must be allergic to emotional displays and passion or something???
Favorite TV Shows
CSI Miamii, NCIS, most of the Star Trek Series, most anything on the discovery channels or history network, and retro cartoons, where the Coyote actually makes it to the ground...guess I'll never fully grow up.
Favorite Books
Adventure or westerns. I'm a big Clive Cussler, Dale Brown, Stephen Coonts and Louis LÁmour fan. I enjoy historical novels, such as the Clan of the Cave Bear series...I like some Sci fi and some fantasy too, if not too deep. I hate having to keep a score card of the characters.
How to books and some self improvement have also been known to be on my shelf at times...
Favorite Quotes
When I was growing up, my Dad said to me one time..."Do whatever you want to do in life, but do it to the best of your ability"....
RIP Pop, thanks for everything.
