I have a few health issues related to my age but I manage. I enjoy meeting people. Interested in all kinds of activities with politics, current affairs and religion at the top of my many interests.
I was in the RAF for 5 years in the 1960's and then went into industry and then management consultancy. I retired in 2003. People say I'm very placid and understanding. I'm very family oriented and enjoy nothing more than family gatherings.

I would love to hear from anyone across the world, but especially from the USA. I made many American friends when I was stationed at a NATO base in France from 1960-1963
Having been married for over 50 years, I'm only looking for friendship.

Now I am retired a lot of my time is taken up with voluntary work, particularly in my own parish. I am also the treasurer of two church groups

All kinds, classical and pop, particularly from the 80's and 90's like Status Quo, ELO and Queen. Michael Jackson and Madona were good in the 80's and 90's.

My favourites are action and Sci Fi films like, I am Legend and The Bourne Trilogy, but can also get interested in historical films like Gladiator. My all time favourite films have to be the second Alien movie and the Bourne Trilogy

I particularly like documentaries and costume dramas in the UK.
Detective series set in the 90's are a favourites on mine

I loved two epic books written by Winston Churchill, The History of the English Speaking Peoples and The Second World War.
I like sci fi books particularly those written by Isaac Isimov, Ray Bradbury and John Wyndham.
