About Me
Hi! My name is Sergei, but you can call me Серёжа. Good luck with the letters "ё" and "ж" :) I want to make friends with people from all over the world and practice English.

My personality type is INFJ-A.

In 2024, I graduated from a university in Moscow, having received my bachelor's degree in world economics and international business. Later that year, I moved to Hamburg and have been studying innovation, business, and sustainability there ever since.

Если тебе было бы интересно поступить в Германию на учебу в магистратуре, могу поделиться опытом и советами.

I love to travel. “It is a big and beautiful world. Most of us live and die in the same corner where we were born and never get to see any of it. I don’t want to be most of us”. One of my biggest dreams is to travel to as many countries as possible.

When a person is traveling, knowing a few tips about the place they are visiting can often come in handy. Fortunately, nоthing in this wоrld lаsts fоrеvеr. So if you are ever coming to Moscow, hit me up and I’ll tell you everything you should know about the country and the city. And who knows, maybe you won’t suffer a culture shock then (honestly, I’m sure you still will haha).

If you don't know how to start a conversation, write a simple "Hi! How are you?" I know that many InterPals users find it uninspiring, but I usually start the conversation with this phrase myself, and I guess you already see that I can be quite talkative :D In addition, the way people strike up a conversation is just another cultural peculiarity. In a sense, refusing to talk to someone solely because of how they greeted you is also a manifestation of intolerance. And don't those who preach intolerance deserve to be judged accordingly?

Right now I'm a bit busy, so it might take me up to several days to reply.

Have a wonderful day!
Requests
Be kind.
Language Exchange Requests
I would be grateful if I could talk to someone in German. If anyone needs any assistance with Russian, I’ll be happy to give you a hand.
Hobbies & Interests
1) Sightseeing. Be that a new destination or a place I was born and raised in, I always enjoy exploring its districts and neighborhoods. Our world is so big and diverse that every city and every town on the globe has its own story to be told.

2) Football (soccer) – both playing and watching. I used to be a huge football fan in the past, but as time passes, I realize I am becoming less and less enthusiastic about it. That's probably because I don't really have much free time, and watching a football game is time-consuming...

3) Commercial aviation. I wrote an academic article about aviation, I dedicated one of my term papers and my bachelor's thesis to the global air transportation market, and I worked at Aeroflot.
Favorite Music
Classical: Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Strauss, Liszt, Beethoven.
Pop: Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes.
Favorite Movies
"Bad Santa" haha

Okay, jokes aside, it's probably "Interstate 60". "Bad Santa" is a good one too, though!
Favorite TV Shows
"Lucifer". But I don't really watch TV shows now because I don't have much free time.
Favorite Books
"The Master and Margarita" by Mikhail Bulgakov,
"We" by Yevgeny Zamyatin,
"A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court" by Mark Twain

De gustibus non est disputandum, but for me personally, Mikhail Bulgakov is the best Russian writer. That is, the best author who wrote books in the Russian language.
Favorite Quotes
"We'll just have to try to make better mistakes tomorrow." - Alexandra Bracken.

"Before you diagnose yourself with depression or low self-esteem, first make sure that you are not, in fact, just surrounded by assholes." - @debihope on Twitter (not Sigmund Freud).
