Thanks for writing. Unfortunately my stroke has pretty much killed off my writing career as it has had devastating effects upon my body ( left side paralysis) and my relationships as I have become somewhat of a hermit. . my friend of 35 years who I have been married to for 18 yrs is now seeking a divorce and has set her mind and efforts to destroying my life. this after I caught her trying to poison me( mercury seeded into my powdered coffee creamer) and moved out. her efforts have failed thus far.

I suffered a second stroke episode in December of 2008 which affected my right side leaving it in a weakened state but it did get me back into therapy rather intensely and has resulted in some recovery on my left side which has left me able to walk a little. This is good as I live alone and am now better able to take care of myself mostly, although I have two aides who come in and look out for me. I would be lost without them.
At anyrate I decided today early to get back into my interpals account and stop feeling Isolated and to make some new friends to talk communicate with on a regular basis.
Winter is finally breaking its hold on the midwest regions of the US and I am planning my small patio garden today. not much but hangers and flats to grow some fresh vegetables in. I find it is good for my soul to digg in the dirt and to have growing things around. It tends to calm my anger about my current situation which has dragged on far too long.

I hope this finds you in good health and spirit and does not tend to be a downer for you. I would welcome correspondence from others on any subject
God Bless.

Hello stewart.. My name is Steve.. and like you I had a stroke... nearly 10 years ago.. Unlike you i regained my motor skills.. i unlike alot of people can reiate to the affect the stroke had upon your life.. i am not sayin i can relate to bieng wheelchair bound and please don't take that the wrong way... i am 21 and would love to talk sometime... the one thing i wanted through out my experience was somebody who would understand even the simplist aspects of what i went through... I hope your writing career wasn't affected by your stroke..... and i hope your well.
