My profile name comes from a song I like (something I usually do) but this one might be scaring people away. Let me know if you know the song :-)

I hope to find new friends and establish lasting friendships to discuss life, travel, current events , music, food,  weather, politics, goals, dreams, self-sufficient living and whatever else comes to mind.
It is likely that on a scale politically I'm in the moderate range but on the left a bit. I would hope to have more to talk about than just the weather. Good friendships should grow over time.

I am downsizing and consolidating my life's accumulations these days. I also am taking advantage of the time I now have with my recent retirement to do projects around the house.

I have a big interest in music, my favorite period is from the mid 60's to the mid 70's, Rock music at many levels of "hardness"- singer/songwriter and Motown were at their peak then also (in my opinion) :)  So much great music was made before and since but for me that period was the best overall. :)
