Ahh I still haven't been able to watch a Chinese drama without subtitles! My level of Chinese is very beginner, but I have picked up a few words or phrases while watching the dramas. I do enjoy watching them a lot though, even if I have to use subtitles. :)

Don't feel bad about needing subtitles! I would say watching with subtitles first then try without for the second time and that might be helpful. :) Don't get discouraged by needing subtitles, it can still be a helpful way to learn.
