Looking for interesting and respectful conversations, on any topic.
Everything is interesting... it's how you approach it that counts.
it is enjoyable getting to know someone, to let each other's personality unfold gradually.
Once I get to know someone well, I like to have intriguing conversations, platonic yet intimate.
Requests
I'm seeking a pleasant, simple, platonic intimacy, where we go with the flow, where nothing is obligatory or necessary, where we simply take delight in the interesting things of the big wide world.....
[What do you think about "gut feeling", and when, or whether, we should act on it? Always? Never? Sometimes?
Stimulus evokes a response, but it is usually checked, or filtered by reason.
Reason is a review function, which is supposed to stop us doing anything stupid. Often, or usually, acting immediately on stimulus is bad.
This happens to us all through our day. Something happens, and I get impatient, and then I do something stupid and irrational. For instance, drive badly.
Reason is of course essential.
Visceral responses might be good, sometimes. It is good to have a “gut feeling” about something.
But our reason tells us that our gut feeling is not always a good guide. For instance, we might see someone dirty and rough, and our gut feeling is that he is a criminal or insane. In fact, he might be a philosopher or a saint! ]
