About Me

Open-minded and easy going, I like to talk about pretty much anything and with all sorts of people. Life is too short and interesting to live it with filters!

I can do crazy tiny origami too. I don't list it as a hobby because it's more of an OCD (very cute one, though!)

Requests

Not really a request but I talk A LOT, so I think I should mention that somewhere. I don't mind if you don't, though!

Language Exchange Requests

¡Se habla español! (and English, as you can see elsewhere in this profile :D)

Hobbies & Interests

All things artsy and creative, with a tendency towards more transgressive stuff. But you need to know your classics to subvert them properly! So I think I do appreciate a big part of the overall spectrum.

I also like tinkering with electronics, particularly musical toys or vintage videogame systems. I'm very fond of Game Boys, I must have a dozen or so around, and most have been modded in some way.

I'm the outdoors type, so you will find me in a park or even better, a beach, whenever weather allows! Not really into any specific sport or activity, but I like hiking through natural spaces and wandering around the city.

Favorite Music

I wouldn't even know where to start with this, since I like so many different artists and lots of different styles.

Just to name some: Judas Priest, The Prodigy, Cypress Hill, Venetian Snares, Las Grecas, Mr. Oizo, Malice Mizer, Necrophagist, Sophie, Leonard Cohen, Machinegirl, Frankie Ruiz, Yuzo Koshiro, Archspire...

Favorite Movies

WAY TOO MANY! Let's say the undisputed top-3: Akira, Blade Runner, 2001: A Space Odyssey. Some filmmakers I love are John Carpenter, Paul Verhoeven, Shinya Tsukamoto, Dario Argento, Coen Brothers, Takashi Miike, David Cronenberg, Wes Craven, Gaspar Noé, and so many others. Always love a good B-movie, too!

Favorite TV Shows

South Park, X-Files, Black Mirror, Adam Curtis' docs, Game Center CX, Dr. Who... Just naming some here, there are tons.

Favorite Books

The New York Trilogy, Slaughterhouse Five, 1984, anything by Phillip K. Dick, a plethora of non-fiction, good old Lovecraft, and many more.

Anyway, I'm more of a comic book guy, all European, American and Japanese, and I tend to like classics and indie stuff more than whatever is trendy.

Some authors I love: Osamu Tezuka, Grant Morrison, Alan Moore, Suehiro Maruo, Shintaro Kago, Jonathan Hickman, Ales Kot, Moebius, Shigeru Mizuki, Katsuhiro Otomo, Frederik Peeters, Francisco Ibáñez... the list is endless, really.

Favorite Quotes

'The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel.'
