I just finished my PhD in Germany and I'll be moving elsewhere in Europe soon! So of course meeting more European friends is always an option for me!


I'm naturally a massive nerd but I have other nerdity. I'm a writer (not yet published), and I write science fiction and fantasy. I'm also an artist, albeit still just learning. I also collect nerdy things! But all of my collection is back home in New Zealand, so that isn't saying much!

If you want to know more, ask me. I'm not scary and I'm willing to talk to anyone.

I'm pretty much open to anyone as long as they're nice. This section used to be annoyingly long and I just realised it made me look like an inaccessible jerk!

I'd also love to meet someone who speaks both English and German to help me out with a few survival skills here.

But I have no specific requests! Just don't write a single line message like "Hi how are you?". I am just going to ignore it. Talk to me about your day, your hobbies, what you've been doing this year, something in my or your profile, anything!

-Writing, art, and related things.
-Computer games. I especially love RPGs, and my favourite platform is the PC. Sadly I can't play at the moment as I lack a computer that works!
-Airsoft. God I miss it.
-Science in general. I'm always keen to learn new things.
-Politics and debate thereof. This isn't an interest per se... but it takes a lot of my time, as it's easy to find something to get angry about.

I like a wide variety of music: some metal, some electronic music, and some of what might be called pop.

I like movies from most genres, although I do like a good action movie, and I love suspense/mystery films. I often enjoy watching awful movies to laugh at them.

At this point I can't honestly list favorites. What is a favorite moves in and out of my mind constantly.

I like many books, but I don't read as much as I should. I love Sapkowski's Witcher series (read it before the games got popular), and like most people of my age, I read and enjoyed Harry Potter. But I derive more enjoyment from writing my own things.
