We drove for three hours reach Huangshan district but had only one-day trip of Huangshan
Mountain. What an intense itinerary. I take it as a trial and hold a great faith that I would visit this breathtaking place again.
Following guide of Gadei navigation, I parked my car at a small open area, cost me 48 RMB within 6 hours. I thought it was the authorized parking lot and payment should be legitimate. But tour guide implied that it was more or less charged by government in an indirect way. Anyone is sophisticated of society rules could know what that means. Anyway, I take it as one part of ticket price of Huangshan magnificent views. And if you are about to have a trip, step by step guidance is must-have for such unpredicted pitfall.
Let me give you a cyclopedia-like introduction. Huangshan is mountain rage listed as a World natural heritage site. It has been the subject of Chinese traditional painting
attracting countless poets and painters over the years who left behind an impressive collection of artwork.
Even the renowned ancient geographer and travel writer, Xu Xiake prized that the landscape of Huangshan tops that of the Five Great mountains. It is very true. When I found myself was surrounded by peculiarly-shaped granite peaks, all what I can was exclaim is "oh geez"
"unbelievable", using some raw language to express my astonishment and overwhelming emotions.
It is no surprise that ancient people believe in the myths or legends when they faced such marvelous beauty. As an interesting anecdote, emperor Xuanyuan once made alchemy there.
It's said that there are 60 thousand stone steps on the edge of cliffs. I had to admit that I was a wuss climbing downstairs. My physical body sent out signals to alert I was risking my life there through trembles and shivers. We were on the way of downhills at 16pm, no time to appreciate the most famous views of" cloud sea" in summit. Because one hotel room would take nearly 2 thousand RMB
per night and cable rail would close at 5 o'clock. Camping already has been prohibited, so you'd better go downstairs in advance for safety.
Despite challenges and imperfection of this journey, I cherish every moment spent in Huangshan. I can't wait to have a more fully exploration of it in the tuture.

Fed pigeons in Nanjing Music Square.
They live of my dreamy life: meeting different people, enjoying endless food, flying by soft music, accompany pals. So even if I have wings, I will choose to stay here forever🥰
