Hi and welcome to my profile! Here I go. I want to say that now I'm feeling like a salesman selling himself. Will I get it? Let's see.

First of all, I´ll take a deep breath because it's difficult to write this kind of things. How to define yourself in just a few words or write something different and at the same time interesting or …? Well, I’ll be honest and I’ll write the first things that will come to my head.

My name is Jorge (so if you call me Xurde you´ll be showing that you have not read my profile) and I´m 36. I live in a seaside town in the North of Spain. I work in the metal industry and study. In fact, I have the feeling that I have been studying all my life. When I finished the high school I started to study an enginnering. But I didn´t focused on studying. I spent the day with my friends playing football. Since I was four I have practice all kind of sports (running, swimming, handball, basketball, football, ...). Nowadays I´m into running and mountain bike (cycling). I do between 5000 and 6000 km each year in the mountain bike. Each sport that I practice gives me something different. For example, mountain bike, for me, is about push yourself to your limits. Be able to reach the top of the mountain across a path full of mud, stones, ... . But at the same time push the guys that are doing the route with you to do it. Spend a good time with them. And feel the adrenaline when you descend the hill as fast as you can. When I swam, like I didn´t need to think to do it, it was something that I did mechanically, I thought about my things. But don’t worry, this doesn't mean that my only topic in a conversations is talking about sports ^_^ (it only means that I like practicing them).  And it came the day when I noticed that I was an adult and I had to start to work. Then I had to study things connected with the job (from Autocad to electromechanical). And a couple of years ago I went back to the college. I take some subjects all the years. I hope to finish one day the degree :).

Like you; I have good days and not so good days. Days that I´ll need them to have 48 hours and not 24 hours to do all I have to do, wishes, dreams, …. In other words, a life. And that is what I want to share with you while we can practice a foreing language, discover other county and other ways to do the same things, .... I’m looking for a small group of friends with whom to exchange messages regularly (in English or in Spanish; and in a near future in German). People who can teach me things I don’t know about their countries, culture, …

One peculiarity? I was the last of my friends who got the driving licence. It took me several years to get it. I always “got lose” in the way to the driving school. I always had something better to do ^_^. I prefer the cold to the heat. I like the rain.

Now you know a little bit about me, about what I like and how I see myself. If you have read till here I believe it's because you are thinking that we can be friends. So, you can type a message, introduce yourself and lets start a friendship ^_^.

¿Qué puedes esperar de mi si decides ser mi amigo? Encontrar a alguien con quien hablar de cualquier tema. No tenemos porque tener los mismos gustos ni opiniones. Puedes encontrarte habando de coches (probablemente a finales de año cambie el que tengo) (asi que igual hablamos de si nos gustan o los vemos simplemente como un medio de transporte, que nos parece el tema de los coches electricos, si los encontramos muy caros, ...); de nuestras aficiones ( yo colecciono figuras coleccionables de series y peliculas, cartas pokemon tcg, bicicletas, ...), de los planes para el verano, de las asignaturas de universidad, de ese proximo movil/ordenador que te vas a comprar/montar,  ... . De los mismo temas de los que hablarias con un amigo con el que puedas quedar para tomar algo dar una vuelta.

We can exchange messages in English or in Spanish (or part of the messages in each language). What you prefer. Ya se que mi ingles dista mucho de ser perfecto. Pero al menos se puede entender lo que quiero decir cuando hablo en ingles :). This year I started to study German again (some years ago I studied German for a year ). But for the moment I can't write to other people in this language. Maybe in a near future. I need at least a couple of months more to be able to write some short paragraphs without many mistakes.

Here I really don't know what to say. There are so many groups that I like. I go everywhere with my mp3 player. And I'm always trying to discover new groups. This are some of my favourites: Suede, Dido, Rammstein, HIM, Strata, Good charlotte, Papa roach, 30 sacons to Mars, Trust company, Sober, Chevelle, Guano apes, Tokio hotel, Heroes del silencio, Skizoo, Foo fighters, Nirvana, Kings of leon, Saosin, Jimmy eat the world, Snow patrol, ... .

Some of them have memories asociated . For example, any time I listen a "Duran duran" song it brings to my head memories of the pool of the very small town where I spent my summer hollidays when I was a little kid. Because that was the music that sounded in the pool. "Suede" makes me think about me speaking in english in the language school in front of all my class for 50 minutes. We have to choose a song of a group we liked, explain why we have chosen it and also explain the meaning of the lyric. And in my case talking a little about the group. Because no one in my class knew it. And like this, I have memories with many other groups.

I don't have favourite movies. I have films I like and films I don't like.

When I was a kid I read "The Five" and "The Hollister" stories.

When I was a teenager I started to read the classics, black novel and detective stories. I was an avid reader, I went a couple of times a week to the library to borrow books. I have read entire shelves of books. But now the truth is that I don’t read too much books. If I’m studying a language, the ones the teacher told us to read and maybe a couple more to learn some vocabulary. And four or five books a year, mainly, when I want to disconnect from all.
