Most of the assumptions are wrong I would say. Each and everyone has their own story. All are in different levels of intelligences. Simply we have to be happy and good while we do something good for this world. ;)

My progress is coming along nicely. It is a matter of having time, dedication and a reason to learn the language. I am understanding and moving right along in my courses.

Your Language Exchange Request section says you don't want to speak to people learning 4 or more languages since they're not interested in a detailed study of the languages. That is not a fair assumption. I am actively learning multiple languages and taking courses on them and spend hours learning them. For me it is a newly discovered passion.
