Hello everybody! (I know there is only few people who read this and maybe I am alone :) hahah so Hello me! haha)
This is a little poem translated by my friend Eveline and transformed by me. Behalf this is the original so if you speak german you can see how much we are far from it... (ohhh... The true is that eveline did an exact translation. It was me who did a step away from that meaning... :) so sorry
If you have some idea how to improve it, come on!! I won't bite you (maybe :)
The half-moon is shining in the sky
And there is mist and cold surround
Hello, you half there, who still fly!
Just like you, I can't find the second half around
Born from half good and half bad
But modest you are in both these piece
The good one that is sometime sad
The bad one living in the peace
Once I saw the enjoyments of life
But nothing as big as my contrition
After enjoying that isn't rife
Everything is like full attrition
For one half I ensued the muse
And she fulfilled the half of what I desired
But my both parts I couldn't fuse
So she escaped and left me old and tired
So I only sit here querulous
When the splintering starts leaving
That part of my soul that is penurious
And destroying the full step by step without any feeling....
---------------------------------------------------------------
Der Halbmond glänzet am Himmel,
Und es ist neblicht und kalt.
Gegrüßt sei du Halber dort oben,
Wie du, bin ich einer, der halb.
Halb gut, halb übel geboren,
Und dürftig in beider Gestalt,
Mein Gutes ohne Würde,
Das Böse ohne Gewalt.
Halb schmeckt ich die Freuden des Lebens,
Nichts ganz als meine Reu;
Die ersten Bissen genossen,
Schien alles mir einerlei.
Halb gab ich mich hin den Musen,
Und sie erhörten mich halb;
Hart auf der Hälfte des Lebens
Entflohn sie und ließen mich alt.
Und also sitz ich verdrossen,
Doch läßt die Zersplitterung nach;
Die leere Hälfte der Seele
Verdrängt die noch volle gemach.
