Yes i agree:) i have for younger sister's, all of which hate reading, view writing as a miserable form of entertainment and would rather watch television, and not the educational kind either:) i would love to enter one of them in the program, considering how many young ladies are dying to be a part of it, but they reject my offers.

Yes, whenever i feel ungrateful it helps to motivate myself by not just acknowledging all the works i've put into getting to a certain point, but also what other people have done to help me get there as well.

After reading this explanation i can't help but go back to your pictures and look at them with new eyes:) i knew they had an underlying message, but never as much as you just told.

Oh i most definitely believe that you will get accepted. My friend was raised here, but grew up in a Spanish speaking family, so she hardly had anytime to learn english let alone practice it. She has a very thick accent yet she worked very hard and she went straight to UCLA after graduation. She reminds me of you, so many cultural obstacles yet you manage to succeed;)

Oh the Philippines, i hope to visit one day. I ate those eggs, i forgot what they are called, but the baby chick is cooked inside and it has a bit of broth in it, i've tried so much food from there:D

well so far it's always pleasant hearing from you:)

I believe there are 100 plus girls, from the ages of 13 to 18 and every girl gets their personal mentor, plus the woman who work in the office and the countless volunteers . We write for 9 months and then submit our best work which is then published in our yearly anthology, you can look it up at writegirl.org. I was the cover of the writegirl anthology for this year, it was my last year of participation. It is a very amazing organization, it allows you to progress and dream.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother, but she gave birth to quite an amazing person. It takes a lot to move for educational purposes and have the strength to stay after such a personal loss instead of running back to familiarity. I hope you get to stay here and build yourself a new:)

I wish you would have had an explanation, I would have read it. But I felt something when I saw your middle picture, I saw more of you in the picture where your face is cut off and the one where your back is turned than I do in picture of peoples faces. :)

LA is something else, I love hollywood and downtown:) every place is the same really, it all depends on how you live it. Where I live it is very urban, some people might even find it intimidating but I've lived here all my life, it has made me free, a rebel and tough, however it has made me strive for greatness when I see how those with no aspirations struggle:)

What are th Philippines like. I love the food:) and the culture one of my best friends is filipino, I am always at her house lol, eating her food, talking to her parents, screaming mahal kita! Ang pogi mo
Every time I see a cute guy on their favorite filipino movies lol:)

No, I simply wanted to write, I've been told I have charisma but I'm the type to take compliments extremely lightly. I write for a non profit organization and as a creative exercise they have us rant in front of everyone in the non profit, which is a community of young woman writers and our personal professional writing mentors, I decided to go up and rant about prom and it happened to be hilarious, and that is when I was approached my a woman. She asked if I'd ever considered it, I said no, she gave me her card and from that day forward I couldn't stop dreaming about it. Surely enough I dropped out of college a week before classes began.

You, you are not an american citizen yet you are attending school here, you must have an impressive mind. You have three pictures and they somehow all seem necessary, they feel so purposeful, if that makes any sense. Tell me why you are here..

First, I decided to take someone up on their offer to begin acting for comedy, and instead of receiving a script and audition date immediately, I have been given assignments in order to practice my written and improve skills. I am also being sent to acting classes, so much for time off of school:) but I don't mind. I have a new mentor and have to write 5 ideas for 'shorts' ( small comedy skits ) by the 30th. That's my first task:)

Thank you
I found you to be interesting as well:)
Which is why I wrote you

Yeah, I started to learn English when I was 2,5 - 3 years old (because we were visiting family then in the Philippines). I started to speak French when I was in 5th year of primary school, so that's like uhrm... In 2003. and Dutch, is my native language ofcourse. Normally I'll study some Spanish again, later. And maybe also German.

Next summer we're going back to the Philippines.
I'll stay there for 2-3 weeks. My dad maybe for some months, and my brothers and mum.. like.. uhrm.. forever ? :p
